Data Sharing and Privacy Policy
Data Sharing Policy
JPIMC encourages transparency and reproducibility in medical research and therefore supports responsible data sharing.
-
Underlying Data: Authors are encouraged to make the datasets supporting their findings available in public repositories (e.g., Dryad, Figshare, Zenodo, institutional repositories) or provide them upon reasonable request.
-
Clinical Trials: In line with the ICMJE requirements, manuscripts reporting clinical trials must include a data sharing statement, specifying whether individual participant data (IPD) and related documents (study protocol, statistical analysis plan) will be shared, and under what conditions.
-
Supplementary Materials: Authors may upload supplementary files (e.g., datasets, protocols, questionnaires, software code) alongside their manuscripts for publication.
-
Exceptions: Data containing sensitive personal or patient information may be shared only in anonymized form, in compliance with ethical standards and institutional regulations.
