Self-Archiving and Repository Policy
Policy Statement
The Journal of Pak International Medical College (JPIMC) supports the principle of open access and unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit versions of their manuscripts in institutional or subject repositories, or on personal and professional websites, in accordance with the following conditions.
1. Versions Permitted for Archiving

Preprint (Submitted Version): Authors may archive the original version submitted to JPIMC prior to peer review.

Accepted Manuscript (Postprint): Authors may archive the peer-reviewed, accepted version prior to copyediting and typesetting.

Published Version (Version of Record): Authors may archive the final, published PDF available on the JPIMC website.
2. Conditions for Archiving

All archived versions must include a full bibliographic citation of the published article in JPIMC.

The DOI link to the official published version on the JPIMC website must be included wherever the manuscript is deposited.

Archived versions must not be altered in a way that misrepresents the final published work.
3. Institutional and Subject Repositories
Authors are permitted to deposit their work in:

Institutional repositories (e.g., university or hospital libraries).

Subject-based repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, ResearchGate, Academia.edu).

International repositories recognized by indexing and archiving services.
4. License and Copyright

All content in JPIMC is published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Authors retain copyright and may freely archive their work for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given.

Commercial reuse requires prior written permission from the author(s) and JPIMC.
