Scope and Mission

The Journal of Pak International Medical College (JPIMC) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research across the fields of medicine, clinical sciences, and biomedical research. The journal provides a platform for medical professionals, researchers, and healthcare practitioners to disseminate innovative findings, promote evidence-based practice, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare standards both locally and globally.

Aims and Objectives

JPIMC strives to:

Promote the dissemination of original and impactful medical research.

JPIMC follows an open-access publishing model, ensuring that all content is freely and permanently available online without subscription barriers. Under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), authors retain copyright of their work while allowing non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author(s) and source are credited. This approach maximizes the reach and educational value of published research.

Ethical Standards

JPIMC adheres to the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics. The journal strictly follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and complies with the ethical policies of:

Peer Review Process

JPIMC employs a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure fairness, objectivity, and quality. Each manuscript undergoes initial editorial screening for scope, novelty, and compliance with journal policies. Eligible manuscripts are then sent to expert reviewers for evaluation of:

Plagiarism and Originality Policy

To safeguard academic integrity, all manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening using internationally recognized software. Submissions found to contain plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical practices will be rejected in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Publication Frequency

JPIMC is published quarterly, with four issues per year (January, April, July, and October). Special thematic issues may also be published in response to emerging scientific developments or global health challenges.
